Bowman's Annual Pig Roast brings the vibrant spirit of Greenford, Ohio to life with our Annual Pig Roast. We want everyone to go home with great memories of friends & neighbors coming together to have a great time. Whether it's a beautiful Fall evening or cold and raining, everyone will enjoy the roast pig masterfully done by Lyle "Nappy" Fishel and his 2 apprentices, Darrin "Buzz" Bowman and Sammy "The Knocker" Durr. Lyle and Karen started this tradition many moons ago (back in the 1970's) when they invited the Green Twp Fire Dept. over for a pig roast. After many years of the fire dept gathering at Lyle and Karens house the annual event eventual faded into the sunset when the "old timers" hung up their boots and fire coats. But thanks to Jim, Lyle, Darrin and Sammy the event was revived. 2025 will mark the 10-year anniversary of the revival.
